About Me

My name is Nikolaj Bjerregaard Sillassen, I am a Danish astronomer and current PhD student at the Cosmic DAWN Center at DTU Space,
under the supervision of Prof. Georgios E. Magdis, Dr. Shuowen Jin of DAWN/DTU Space,
and Prof. Kirsten Knudsen of Chalmers University of Technology.

I'm mostly interested in galaxy protocluster evolution, and how to identify these rare and extreme objects in the early universe.
Apart from protoclusters I am also interested in the evolution and properties of dusty and non-dusty galaxies, especially at high redshift.

During my Master's degree I discovered and published HPC1001, a very dense group of massive galaxies in the early universe.
